During college I interned for a small startup named VetX. They had developed an app for on the go vet care. You could use the app to ask the community animal related questions, browse forums, and talk one-on-one with an actual Vet via messenger or webcam. This was their way of providing a connection to animal health care when a vet is inaccessible or too expensive. 

 

Through this I was able to gain valuable insight on what it means to start a business from the ground up. With VetX I had been creating social media campaigns and advertisements, company branding elements including business cards, presentations and layouts. I also was tasked to use my people skills to pitch the app to various clients and promote the business on my own time.
